What this assumes

  • Call-out is charged once per job.

Why this number matters

For repeatable work (a service, an inspection, a standard install) the price should come from the recipe rather than from what feels right on the day. Pricing the recipe once means every quote after it is consistent, and a price rise is one number rather than a renegotiation.

How it is worked out

  • Cost = labour hours × loaded labour cost + materials + call-out cost
  • Price = cost ÷ (1 − target margin)
  • Gross profit = price − cost

The same formulas run in your browser as you type; nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
