Tax invoice

An invoice that carries the details a tax authority requires for the customer to claim tax back.

Updated

A tax invoice is an invoice with the details your tax authority requires: typically your business name, your tax registration number, the date, what was supplied, and the tax charged. Registered business customers usually need one to claim the tax back.

The exact requirements differ by country, so check your own tax authority’s rules. In this product you enter your tax registration once, and it prints on every quote and invoice.

For example: an Australian electrician registered for GST issues an invoice titled "Tax invoice" with their ABN, the date, each line of work, the GST charged and the total, so the business customer can claim the GST back.

How Primemgr handles this

For an Australian business, Primemgr's invoices are titled "Tax invoice", show GST line by line, and will not finalise without the seller's ABN.
