For a team of 3 to 15 NZ tradies, Primemgr costs one price for the whole team, from NZ$95 a month for 3 people to NZ$275 for 15, with the modules for its trade included; Tradify charges $52 per user on Pro and ServiceM8 prices by jobs. Prices are from each company's own NZ page, checked on 26 September 2026.

It compares Primemgr with Tradify, ServiceM8 and Fergus, using each company's own published New Zealand prices, checked on 26 September 2026, and it says plainly where each of them is the better choice, including the things Primemgr does not do yet.

- A sole trader on a tight budget: ServiceM8, whose plans start from $0.
- A team that needs Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks sync, card payments or a phone app today: Tradify, ServiceM8 or Fergus. Primemgr does not have those yet.
- A growing business that needs purchase orders, supplier integrations and health and safety paperwork: Fergus Professional.
- A team of 3 to 15 that wants one price for the whole team, with the modules for its trade: Primemgr, from NZ$95 a month for 3 people to NZ$275 for 15.

- Tradify: Lite $48, Pro $52 and Plus $62 per user per month, ex GST.
- ServiceM8: Starter $29 (50 jobs a month), Growing $79 (150), Premium $149 (500) and Premium Plus $349 (1,500 or more), with unlimited users; its plans start from $0.
- Fergus: Basic from $53 and Professional from $75 a month. Its page does not say what a larger team pays.
- Primemgr Starter, 1 person: NZ$80 a month.
- Primemgr Small, up to 3 people: NZ$95 a month.
- Primemgr Team, up to 6 people: NZ$140 a month.
- Primemgr Scale, up to 15 people: NZ$275 a month.
- Primemgr: the modules for your trade on every plan, no per-user fees; paying yearly saves 20%. Any tax is shown at checkout.
What a team of six pays
- Tradify Pro: 6 users at $52, so $312 a month ex GST.
- ServiceM8: set by jobs, not people. Growing, $79, covers up to 150 jobs a month; Premium, $149, up to 500.
- Fergus: not published; ask Fergus for a quote.
- Primemgr Team: NZ$140 a month.
Where each one is the better choice
- Tradify: Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks sync, card payments, phone and tablet apps, recurring jobs and progress invoicing. For one person, Lite costs less than our Starter plan.
- ServiceM8: the lowest starting price, unlimited users on paid plans, an iPhone app, card payments and accounting sync.
- Fergus: Xero, QuickBooks and MYOB sync, card payments, GPS tracking, price books, purchase orders, supplier integrations, and hazards and SWMS paperwork.
- Primemgr: one price per team with the modules for each trade on every plan, quotes with options customers accept online, online booking and a customer portal, each business's data in its own database, and a full export at any time. It does not yet take card payments, sync with accounting software or have a phone app.
How to choose
- Count your people and your jobs: per-user pricing grows with your team, per-job pricing with your workload, per-team pricing only when you move up a team size.
- List what you need on day one. Accounting sync or card payments narrow the field today.
- Try the two that fit on a real job, using a free plan or a free trial where the tool offers one.
