The problem
The inspection happens on paper or in a phone note. The failed items never make it onto a quote, and the customer who was told their brake pads were low hears nothing more about it.
Primemgr lets you build your own inspections, checklists and forms, fill them in against a job, and quote what they found. Turn Forms on in Settings → Modules.
Build the form once
- Pass / advisory / fail items, yes-or-no questions, choices, numbers, dates, text, photos and files, and signatures drawn with a finger or typed.
- Measurements with a unit and a minimum or maximum, so a 2 mm reading against a 3 mm minimum is a finding by itself.
- Questions that only appear when an earlier answer calls for them.
- The work to recommend for each item, written once.
A published form never changes: editing it starts a new version, so a form filled in last year still reads against the questions it asked.
Fill it in on the job
Start a form from the job. Findings are marked as you answer, answers are saved as you go, and the form cannot be submitted until every required question is answered. A score is kept for pass/fail items, with advisory counting as half and “not applicable” left out.
Quote what it found
Quote the findings raises a draft quote for the job’s customer with one optional line per finding, the reading written on it, ready for you to price and send.
Reports for the customer
A completed form downloads as a PDF report with its photos and signature, and can be emailed to the customer as a private link to that report.
What it does not do yet
Forms are filled in in the phone’s browser and need a connection to save; there is no offline mode or phone app yet.
Common questions
- Can I change a form after people have used it?
- Yes. Saving starts a new version; forms already filled in keep the questions they were asked.
- What counts as a finding?
- An advisory or fail on a pass/fail item, the answer you mark as a problem on a yes-or-no or choice question, or a reading outside the limits you set.
- Are the prices on the quote filled in?
- No. Each line is raised at zero for you to price, because a guessed price is one the customer will hold you to.
