Most plumbing work is assessed and fixed in the same visit, so the setup does not force a formal quote before work can start. A job is booked, worked, sometimes held for parts, and done.
The details that matter on an unfamiliar site
Every site records where the mains water shutoff is and where the water meter is, in plain words, so the next person there is not hunting for it. Each job records the type of job and whether it needs a gas licence.

Bookings that confirm themselves
When a job is booked, the customer is emailed a confirmation. They get a reminder 12 hours before, sent outside quiet hours so it never lands in the middle of the night.
Quotes, invoices and getting paid
Quotes are priced line by line with the right tax code on each, and optional lines the customer can choose. The customer gets an email with a link, and can accept online. An accepted quote becomes an invoice in one click, with only the lines the customer agreed to, so nothing is retyped.
Every setting is still yours
The setup is a starting point, not a cage. Rename anything, add your own fields, change the stages, turn modules on or off. When the industry setup improves, your own changes are left alone.

- Where do I record where the water shuts off at a property?
- On the site. Every site has a Mains water shutoff field and a Water meter location field, so whoever is sent there, even for the first time, knows where both are before they start, without ringing the office.
- What stages does a plumbing job go through?
- Booked, In progress, Waiting on parts and Done, with Cancelled for work that does not go ahead. Every job shows its stage at a glance, and you can rename the stages or add your own: the setup is a starting point, not a fixed process.
- Can customers pay an invoice by card online?
- Not yet. You record each payment as it comes in (bank transfer, cash or your own card terminal), and the invoice shows what is paid, part paid or still owed. Paying by card through the invoice itself, and syncing with Xero, QuickBooks or MYOB, are not available yet.
