Cleaning estimate template: what to include, with a filled-in example

A cleaning estimate or quote that customers can compare and accept: the sections, a filled-in example for a regular home clean, and how to turn it into a booking.

A cleaning estimate should state what will be cleaned, how often, the price per visit, anything extra, what is not included, and how to accept. Customers compare cleaning quotes line by line, so the one that is easiest to understand often wins even when it is not the cheapest.

Many cleaners call it an estimate but give a fixed price. If you are committing to the price, call it a quote; if the price may change once you see the home, keep it an estimate and say why. Quote vs estimate explains the difference.

Before you send it

  • See the home, or get photos of every room, before fixing a price.
  • Ask about pets, parking and access.
  • Agree what "clean" means for the customer’s worst room.
  • Send it the same day as the visit or call.
  • Follow it up after two or three days.

From estimate to booking in Primemgr

In Primemgr the estimate is a quote built from your price list, with the extras as optional lines the customer can tick. The customer accepts it on a phone; the first clean becomes a job and the regular visits become a service agreement that books each clean on its own. The free quote generator makes a one-off quote without an account if you only need a document.
